Floriade 2005
| Quote: | Each year from mid September to mid October, the National Capital bursts into colour with Floriade – Canberra’s springtime gift to the people of Australia.
Presented in the splendid grounds of Commonwealth Park on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin and only minutes from the city centre, Floriade boasts well over a million spring bulbs and annuals in a glorious display designed to reflect a new theme each year.
More than just flowers, Floriade is a festive celebration with music, entertainment and activities, displays and demonstrations, gardening products and Australian made arts, crafts and produce. |

Weekly Coogee - Bondi Walk
The super gorgeous stretch of Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach has become a favorite past time and a weekly routine walk (followed up by some seriously scrumptious brunch - not good!).

Taking pictures while driving is not recommended. But I couldn't help myself not to take pictures of the lovely rainbow after a brief sunshower yesterday. Pictures are not great coz (A) I was driving & (B) shots were taken thru the windshield. So, till next time, remind to pull over and take shots.

Winter Solstice
the moon is kinda lopsided here
Today is the shortest day of the year. The moon appears exceptionally bigger as it is lower to the horizon, hence creating an illusion to the eyes. Cameras can't capture the true beauty, you have to be outside to really appreciate it
Exactly 3 years ago (back in 1st yr of my degree), I was busy completing a project of calculating the position of the sun with respect to the solstices (winter & summer). Today, I get to enjoy the view without much stress of completing that particular assignment. Except, tomorrow, I'll be having my programming finals Ahh, the life of a uni student

Chocolate Tiramisu
I celebrated my 20th birthday 2 days ago. Mom invited some friends over and got TWO cakes from my dear aunties - a Chocolate Tiramisu (wrapped like a Thai Coin Pouch) and a Black Forest Cake from the Cheesecake Shop
** I find the chocolate tiramisu to be incredibly unique and totally one of its kind. It is "wrapped" in a chocolate sheet and tied to resemble a big rose on top of the whole cake and dusted with chocolate powder. Almost sugar free, so a total guilt-free food. *yum*

Ride Down South
Taken by a friend during our geology excursion to Kiama, visiting the exposed cliff-face (coal, glacial evidence etc) and rock-types (latite & dykes) from the Jurrassic and Triassic periods.
Pictures around Kiama and Bombo Quarry
** Would go back there for a drive anytime at all. An absolutely gorgeous place, indeed.
